Re: ??s and comments

Shawn=> Is 3 feet enough clearance to have the t3 up to drop the motor?

It's enough to drop the motor a long way! You need about 19" under the
apron is all.

=> In a '73 squareback with no motor, would it be wise to put in carbs?

Assuming you put in an engine at the same time, yes, I'd say so.
I gather you don't have the FI system to put back in.

=> Maybe 48mm carbs?

If you've done a motor that size (2L plus) before, then you know what
you're getting into. If you haven't, save yourself a lot of aggravation
and forget about it. In my book, wise is a nice, solid, long-wearing,
testosterone-free motor for under $1000. Stock carbs are fine for that.
Stay close to stock and put the extra money into some pretty wheels or
something, you won't regret it.
