Gunk is an engine degreaser, WD40 is a very light oil.  Gunk may remove
the protective cosmoline coating that keeps the cylinders from rusting
while sitting on the shelf, but you would still have to rinse the Gunk
off.  WD40 will not clean the cylinders...

Sounds like this would just scuff the cylinder walls to me...

Being that the valve springs and rocker arms are outside of the cylinders
I do not see how this would get oil to the pistons/rings...
