In a word, no. Maaco doesn't charge enough to be able to put in the SKILLED prep time, and they also cut corners on their paint. If you're doing all the prep work, it's well worth the extra $100-$300 to find a local shop that will work with you. Many will, and some may be good enough to give you advice. The cost of the materials, the painter and the booth time is "pretty" constant, so you can end up with a considerably better, longer-lasting job for not much more money... Also try local, smaller shops. Some are pretty reasonable, and not THAT much more expensive than Maaco, IF you contribute prep time.
