If you have one of the originals that is assembled with 4 screws, then you can safely disassemble it and drain out any accumulated oil. I recommend that you not do anything that requires more than a screwdriver to do. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST ANYTHING. Inside the 70-1 PS you will find an additional diaphram that can also be removed. I have seen the gasket under this diaphram leak such that the pressure in the PS is not the same as the pressure in the intake manifold. You can carefully remove this diaphram and coat this gasket with a very light gasket cement. Be sure to put everything back together exactly as it came apart.
