The rear window defogger obviously has nothing to do with it, and if 
it were the FI main power relay then the engine would cut completely 
in and out as the relay clicked.  This might actually be happening, 
but that would not be the fault of the relay, but rather of the 
circuit that is driving it.

If it is the fuel pump relay that is clicking then you should look at 
the circuit that drives it, the problem is not the fault of the 
relay.

Yes!  And bad gas mileage, and bad crusing, and bad acceleration....
And, yes, they start to click erratically when they are going bad.
