It looks like Aaron's site lists production dates, and not necessarily model years. For example, his list says that the redesign occurred in August of 69, but what it doesn't say is that the cars manufacturered then were of the 70 model year. Maybe thats why your car is registered as a 72 as opposed to a 71...if it was produced after July or August of 71 odds are its still a 72 model year vehicle.
