T3: Re: thermostat & flaps

Yes its normal to be able to burn the shoes off your back seat passengers, or 
front for that matter.  Its due to the fact that the thermostats in the
fresh air duct have long passed on and since the hotter the air you blow in
the cabin the faster it heats up theory states you dont fix these.

The engine thermostat screws on the rod after loostening the 13mm nut on the
bottom of it.  Loosten the nut and unscrew the thermostat, take it out and pull
on the rod, you should feel the coil spring that holds the the flaps open and 
work the flaps manually.  Everything should work freely, and since this engine 
new hopefully they lubed the flap shaft,
