Coil

The coil is the small blue cylinder on the left side of the engine...correct?
If you have a 1969 square that was converted to carb...what should be
connected to the coil?  

I am also in grave need of help...when I started my car this afternoon the oil
light never came on in the first key position...sooooooooooo,  I checked to
make sure that the oil sensor was on all the way...when I checked it was not
completely on...so I pushed it back on checked to make sure the oil light came
on and started the car up.  when I started it,  it sounded like it was running
on one cylinder.  Help me here I'm dyin.
