simple missed turn or destiny?

Hello All,

Today's actual experiance. Was it a simple missed turn or destiny? You
decide.

I was dropping off a letter to the post office today and missed the turn
into their driveway. So I went down to the grocery store parking lot
and turn around. While I was waiting for a break in the traffic, a lady
pulls up next to me and wants to talk. She tells me she has a car JUST
LIKE MINE (a '67 square) in her garage. She says it's a '71 411,
ya just like mine alright! But anyway, my ears perked up. I didn't
realize they made them in '71, I thought only like '73-'74 (after
research at home, they were actually made '69-'74, imported to US
'71-'74. I get out of my car and hand her my business card so she can
call me. By now traffic is building up behind us and getting
impatient. Now for you folks out West, or in dry climates, this may be
no big deal. I envy people who see T-3's regularly while driving
around. Out here in Connecticut they have all gone to the crusher,
rusted to death, or a combination of both. I have NEVER seen another T-3
driving around, except for the shows.

So this could be interesting. She is the original owner. It could have
been sitting in her garage protected for the last who knows how many
years and be very nice. Or it could be totally rusted out, with a blown
motor, and stashed in the garage because the neighbors complained it was
an eye sore. Because of the traffic behind us I couldn't ask for a lot
of details.

I have been to the post office countless times, and never missed the
turn.

So you decide, was it a simple missed turn or destiny?

I will keep you posted. Too bad I really don't like T-4's.

Charlie
'67 Square
