Very good points. But, Tom, I'm supporting two cars, both of which ain't cheap. Also, just what really is the market demand? Pretty damn small (our group, really). A Ferrari is one thing, but an SP2?...let's get a reality check! Granted, there aren't many, but artificially inflating the price is downright silly and smacks of the phrase, "There's a sucker born every minute". Many parts are probably nonexistent or extremely rare (we all have had a taste of that with our cars). Hey, I have a fully functional 1915 Kodak camera with a Bausch & Lomb lens (yes, they were around for quite some time 'http://www.bausch.com/About/about.html'). There are only a few around in such prime condition. You have to purchase special cut film since the negative measures about 2 1/4" x 6". The camera is only worth $50 tops but since it's in VERY good condition and there aren't may around at all I'll sell it for $200. Get the picture? Maybe we need a support group, like what they have for addicts. :p Toby "My opinionated $0.03 on the price wars" Erkson air_cooled_nut@pobox.com <-- Please use this address for email responses '72 VW Squareback 1.6L bored and stroked to 2.0L '75 Porsche 914 1.8L, ORPCA member Portland, Oregon, http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/8501/ P.S. As far as I know, there is no "typical" market value for this car in the U.S. since they (nearly) don't exist here. If you wanted one badly, where would you find one? And if you passed one up, how long until you came across the next one? Tough call. ...and... Yea it better... but Toby, this is an SP2! Are you trying to tell us that you wouldn't kill to have one of those parked next to your Porsche and Sqr?
