In my 914 I bought a small, five slot fuse box for my accessories.  It uses the 
better (IMO) flat style fuses found in modern autos today.  You can find them at
any auto parts store in a variety of lengths.  I also found these neat little 
items that clip onto the top of the fuse and when the fuse blows the little clip
lights up so you know 1) a fuse blew and, 2) which fuse did blow.
