I'm taking out the engine in my fastback..i'm doing it according to the muir
book.
I've got a 70 fastback...(double jointed axles), the problem is i don't
understand exactly how i'm supposed to support the transmission. does the
board go under the trans with the chains on either side hanging on the frame?
like this (frame member) ----- --------
\ /
(the slashes are chain)\ +++++++ /(pluses are the trans)
--- \----------------/------ (- is the 40 in.
long 2x4)
is this right? i wish the muir book had a sketch of it....please help! or if
you have another way to support the trans please tell me (maybe a simpler
way?)
thanks!
Robert.
