well most of the time... i'm going to solve my oil leak...here's what i did..i scrubbed the engine until it was very clean (it's in the car)....next i started it up and let it run at a little over a 1k rpm so that i could "simulate" the amount of oil pressure i achieve when going down the road....jeez is it cold 40 degrees in Florida! the results? one push rod leaking a small bit..no big deal.. but at the front of the engine..where the engine meets the trans (i've got a standard) large amounts of oil began leaking. So my question is: Does this mean the "front seal is bad"? and if so, what causes are there for the front seal to go bad (other than a cheap seal), could it happen because there is too much play in the crankshaft?
