If it's a lot of gas, the fuel pump might be the culprit. Sometimes the rubber inside (the diaphram i think) gets worn out, and it can spew or seep gas right into your engine! Check this first, and if the fuel pump is faulty (I'm assuming yours is pre-68 or has carbs and a non-electric fuel pump) change it, and your oil!
