got the shakes

Well the other day when my fastback is in first and I let off the clutch my
front end will shake along with the shifter.  It only does this about a
fourth of the time,  I can usually just pull it out of first and put it
back in and things will be normal again.  No new problems with the other
gears.  Is it time for a new tranny or the start of a new problem?
