AdamL=> can't figure out how to get sync tool over air cleaner tower. My adapter is made from 2" ID plastic drainpipe 1.75" in length, which is enough to clear the air-cleaner bracket but short enough to allow the lip of the Uni-syn to slip in below the edge of the bodywork. This consideration is more important on the right side. I cut the pipe with a hacksaw and flatted the ends on a belt sander. I leave the air-cleaner seals on the carbs and the Uni-syn has a rubber pad, so additional seals are unnecessary. The shorter tube is much easier to handle than the orange-juice can suggested by Muir, and I can leave the Uni-syn sitting on top of the carb, with no fear of it falling off, while I make small adjustments.
