So, I can't have 4 wheel disc brakes without a booster and a proportioning valve. FINE. But !! I will have front disc brakes and 911 rims all the way around. I called Bill & Steves today ( Mon. ) and asked them for a set of "complete" disc brake spindles ( spindles, rotors, calipers, bearings, etc.) as all I have is a set of spindles and backing plates and I'm I'm not sure where to start with getting parts together. The dude ( dud ? ) on the phone " no way man...... we don't have anything like that here " me : " do you know where I could get something like that ? " dude: " no............." hokay...... I though Bill & steves had access to a yard full of parts etc. ? He said " it should be real easy for you to run to a junkyard and yank that stuff of any type 3... those places are everywhere around here.... " hello... Einstein !! If I could get this stuff ( in michigan !!?!?) I wouldn't be calling you !! Can anyone point in the right direction here ? ( not THAT direction !! ) I figure that I won't call Bill & Steves anymore. The past couple of times have been fruitless so I giove up on them. I need a set of front spindles that are " rebuildable" ( including the steering arm that's bolted to each spindle ) And no one has answered my question... do I need a new master cylinder ? 19mm dual circuit ? Anyone who has fitted disc brakes to an early t3 please email me. Thanks for lettin' me rant.
