I know we would have bought a set if they had been available 6 months ago. We also saw another yellow 71 fasty in town - a neighbor just 2 blocks away had a car *identical* to ours!! That car could've sure used a new set of fenders too. It's mainly the front that are bad (the part that holds the headlight seems to collect rust for a living). The fenders would, of course, have to have a reasonable price tag. Maybe in 2 years we'll need another set (depending on how my repair job holds out :) Cheers, -Nico -----Original Message----- From: HP2BSQ@aol.com <HP2BSQ@aol.com> To: type3@vwtype3.org <type3@vwtype3.org> Date: Wednesday, December 09, 1998 1:17 PM Subject: [T3] fenders anyone? >Hi Volks, > Thought I'd put the word out, I have recently been in contact with a company >in western PA that makes fiberglass body pa´ªŽSTUFF 1-800-752-2847) about >'69 and up T3 front fenders (I need them for a '71, and prefer fiberglass), >and though they don't make them currently (lost their molds in a fire a few >years back . . . ) the owner has told me directly that they would be more than >willing to make new molds this January if there is a bit of an interest (more >than a set or two). > The reason I called them, is that I have also been talking to the owners at >Innovations,(I have been 'hurrassing' them for nearly two years!!) and they >really dont see producing them soon - apparently no interest out here. > So if anyone is interested - no commitments here, I dont have any >connection to the company, they just want an idea of possible market - let me >know, and I'll pass it on to them - or you can call and tell them yourself. > >Sorry about the rambling, but I thought I'd share the info . . . . > >Dan Dockery >'71 Square, 'HIP2BSQ' >HP2BSQ@aol.com > >------------------------------------------------------------------- >Too much?
