Hey guys! This item got around some weeks ago on this list. A fellow named Todd Daley have a pair of these brackets. He has scanned in some nice pictures of them, too. The only responses I got were from people saying that of course they exist, all back seats are supposed to fold flat! no, no, no people, I' talking about the accessory "Sleep-In" Extender described in an original accessories brochure (you can see it on "The type III Experience" webpage http://thesamba.com/vw/type3/) and I quote: "Sleep-in" space Extender Just the thing for camping out. Turns your Squareback into a camp on wheels. the picture in the brochure makes it look like it's just a couple of brackets that wouldn't be too awfully tough to manufacture.
