I have already checked it out....... I know the guy personally, I don't know about the 500 vws though.... :-) a lot of them are either stripped down, or very rusted out.... but there are some good parts, quite a few actually. He does ship out also if anyone is interested. I was just there yesterday..... at both yards.... I bought my 71 Fastback from Obie, not in bad shape ( EXCELLENT front fenders !!!!!!!), 60 000 miles on it, dead autotranny (came with a replacement tranny) for $300. This car now sits at at Joe Poquettes yard waiting for me to bring back home, Joe is an extremely nice guy. If anyone wants I can check there for parts needed, unfortunately, since the yard is in upstate NY, you can rest assured that for the most part the cars are fairly rusty... not much there in regards to fenders body panels etc. I have been helping Joe out at his yard for a while, it is just that the boarder makes it kind of hard to get there he is 1/2 hour away from me, I help him out, and he lets me scavenge the yard.... so if any requests I probably know what he has in regards to the type 3s............ P.S. At Obies he pretty well ha¬ e 3 stuff left maybe 2-3 squares with no good parts left... he does have a nice but rusty 66 squareback (white, with red interior), and a 73 Squareback with a broken torsion bar... that is it for any type 3s though...
