All, I'm back from a littleńF¨’ at took me from Knoxville, Tennesse to Augusta, Georgia to Hinesville (Fort Stewart), Georgia and back again. I saw two, count'em, two Type IIIs. One on Thursday heading west on I-40 outside of Ashville, North Carolina. It was a 68-69 white Fastback. It was in the fast lane after coming up a little incline, and looked like it was moving out. I was terribly surprised and caught off-guard, (glad it wasn't a hand grenade) so I only saw it for about for about a second as we passed each other. After that I was more alert, but saw no more on the road. The last was on Sunday. It was on the side of the road at a "store". It was a Squareback, 67 or earlier. It had been there for lots of years (it was covered by tree grime!). It had a dented left front fender, but looked fine otherwise. It is located on South Carolina Highway 178, 4-5 miles north of Pickens. I was forbidden to stop as the youngest had just fallen asleep :^( Kids, you gotta love'm!
