You MIGHT be able to replace the boots, but those are as hard to find as the ball joints. I have replacement plastic plugs. Those are cheap prices. If they are German then they are probably like the OEM and should be good, but you should check them according to the Bentley method; I once bought some that did not pass this test and were not worth installing.
