About the only way to > localize it is to pressure wash the whole thing and stick some > newspaper under it to find where it's coming from. i should have done this first, but since i could see the oil coming out of the oil cooler, i knew these seals had to be changed whatever. i do seem to have oil leaking from the drainplate too; when i looked at the plate, it was dimpled at the holes for the retaining nuts - not surprising after at least 53 oil changes... so it's getting a new one next oil change. forgot to say before that when it was cutting out in traffic in the heat, i'm fairly sure it was overheating: the (stock) air filter was too hot to touch. my theory being the oil wasn't getting to the oil cooler.... but we'll see today sonny ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
