You may have more than one problem, but the leaking fuel problem is the one you need to deal with immediately. You proabably have the typical problem of old gas lines which are cracked and leaking. In your case, it sounds extreme. If left untreated it is only a matter of time before fire destroys the car. It should cost less than $100 to fix. Why not open up the engine and take a look?
