In a message dated 98-08-10 03:30:52 EDT, you write: << Yes I suspect that's true, and I dont want it that way. I need to learn how to fix this. >> Once you are positive you have too much oil in engine ( let the car sit level and not running for a while, say 1 hr) then check dip stick. If your oil goes over the full mark, then see how much, remember; you now already what 1 quart reads on dip stick,? right? by this relativity you'd also know how much oil you need to extract from engine, roughly. Get under motor, loosen drain plug a bit at a time till a sream comes out about that same amount and then some. Tighten and check dip stick. If your level is now too low just add a little oil in oil filler. An easier way----- change your oil ! And that part with your girlfriend? she was right,-) from what I read, I think your problem was just cheap gas. Dont forget, nobody starts anything from the end, so dont feel bad for being a beginner good luck HB 70 sq ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
