Dear Brian: I also have a 1970 Squareback with automatic transmission. The PO put in a new Master Cylinder about 18-24 months ago. I am experiencing the same type of symptoms you are. I did all the things that you did as well. When I bled out the rears, I got a healthy stream of brake fluid back, so I felt there is no clogs anywhere in the system. In the end, my Square stops fine, but even in an emergency the wheels will never lock up. Seems like the pedal just goes lower, but recovers at the next stop. I felt this pedal fade was due to stop n' go driving in 100 F. heat. Anybody have any comments, suggestions or ideas? Allen concept@compassnet.com VWBRIAN@aol.com wrote: > Help!!!!
