Praise Allah, Krishna, Muhhahmed, and Lao Tzu! Glory Be! She's a running!!! And smoooth too... Thanks to Doug and Jim and everybody else out there. Once again, the list wins the day. She runs beautiful and sweet and perfect, and just in time because some jerky chiquita rammed my bus.... But here's something weird. Normally she starts, runs fine. Purrs. Last night, in front of he 7-11, I started her and it sounded like I had sucked a bag of tin cans into my fan. Sounded horrible, nasty, self distrucing engine noises. I turn off the ignition AND IT KEEPS RUNNING, but quietier, for about 10 seconds....I had only been driving the car for 3 minutes before the 7-11, so I don't think it could have been hot enough to diesel... any other ideas? My friend and i looked at each other, convinced ourselves that the whole thing didn't happen, started her (purr, purr) and drove home fine. No hint of what had happened. Weird, huh?? -rj > -----Original Message----- > From: Jim Adney [SMTP:jadney@vwtype3.org] > Sent: Friday, July 31, 1998 10:12 PM > To: type3@vwtype3.org > Subject: RE: FI pressure blues-long and droning... > > > That should get you in the right ball park, but I would not count on > it to be accurate enough for a permanent adjustment, just enough to > get your car started so you can start lookin for other problems. > > Jim > ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
