Hi folks, A friend asked this question of me. I have no clue. Any help out there for a T3 newbie? > Another question. This one is concerning the gas tank. By the way, we had already bought the Bentley Service Manual you had recommended, thanks for the suggestion though. Now back to the gas tank.We thought it a good idea to remove the tank & drain all the old gas (only about a quart & it had been sitting for some time). The inside of the tank looks good, no rust, just a little "varnish". We removed the fuel gauge sending unit to see what condition it was in & also to see inside the tank better. After removing the sending unit & moving the tank to a location to start removing some rust we noticed something rolling around inside the tank. It turned out to be a cone shaped spring about 1 3/4 inches at the base end, tapering to the end of the cone. It is 3 1/2 inches long. I could find no information in the service manual.
