Hi, some more info on engine for you.

 I have used the 1835 engine, which for me works well.

I choose this as it was cheaper than going to a stroker crank. But make
sure you have crank and Rods balanced if you keep them stock.

If you use a stroker crank, also use bigger bore, as you can unshroud
the valves in the head.

Keep the Cam mild or stock, I have a Scat C55 in my 1835, which is good
for racing, but crap at below 3000, It would be better in a 2.1L, but is
not an ideal for just road use.

Increasing the stroke helps with more torque, whereas a short stroke,
big bore will help with more power.

Advice from various people inc. Gene Berg, use 90.5 bore, which gives
1776 with standard crank, and then increase the stroke to get up to 2.0L
 The 90.5 mm bore allows for the cylinder walls to be thicker than some
of the larger bores.

As for heads the american 040 heads which you can get with 40mm inlets
and 35 exhaust valve  seem to wok well and I think are good value for
money. Much better than standard 041's.

With an 1835 and the above mentioned Cam and heads(with addtional work)
and twin 36's(too small for the engine/cam combination) I get about 100
- 110 bhp at the wheels.
