Well.. You can't hurry a body man but boy its been agony! Its finally back from the paint job and BOY its looks nice!! To anyone who is looking at all those little baggies and thinking "will it ever happen??" it took me 4 years and I ressurected it from beyond the dead. that final result makes up for all the hard work!! Now on to the assembly and... Oh YES.. an engine! Greg, I'll send you some pictures to update my spot on your page. OOOH.. and another good bit.. I went to the shop in the Square to tow it home and was chatting with the body man telling him the history and such as well as how rare the car is and he said " NAW! can't be that rare.. We have another one right here in the shop!" he brought me in and I FROZE!!.. then realized OH! its a Fastback! (68). Still... I'm in New York and seeing a Notch, Fast, and Square in the same place at the same time is rare even at a VW show, but in a local auto shop?? I was Floored!! The 68 was a CA car being restored too. Anywho.. Stay the pace.. these cars are truely little jewels! Keith
