>Actually, the screwdriver method I described worked smashingly (bad pun >intended) until I got cocky and thought the windshield would be just as >easy. Whenever I use a screw driver when removing the windshield there is too much risk in denting the window frame. I like to use several popsicle sticks (BONUS: You get to eat them first). Starting in a corner insert them at regular intervals. Then go back to the first, pry a little on the first, push the second in more, so on and so... you get the idea. Pretty soon you think the window will fall on the floor, so get a helper to either catch it as you gently push with both feet evenly distributed on the glass or get outside the car and getly pull... The only window I have broke with this method already had a crack running from top to bottom, but I still got it out in one piece. ------------------------------------- Craig Woolston '70 Sqback and '71 Fastback cwoolsto@ladc.lockheed.com
