I have never been able to successfully remove any glass without cutting the seal. Fortunately, the rubber has always been trashed anyway so it was no loss. The only time I was able to save the rubber was when I was replacing a cracked windshield and simply kicked the sucker out from the inside of the car. I suggest placing a blanket over the hood to prevent getting glass down into the fresh air intake and protecting the paint. Charlie '67 Square
