The cheapest way to get some wires is to see your local junkyard.
Depending on how big your desaster is I would recommend that you 
grap some wires from any car around. That will give you cables
in all the different colours. Then you replace your harness one 
by one.
Of course this involves some "homework" but it is certainly cheap.
