I got letter in the mail yesterday telling me that I have to have a working horn by 09/14 or my insurance is cancelled, giving me 4 days to get it working (well 2 days since the insurance company isn't open Saturday or Sunday). I figured out what was wrong - the ground wire from the horn down the column was unhooked near the steering coupler, probably from the previous owner's disc brake front-end install. I got it all working by just grounding that wire, but here's my question: Where does that wire normally ground to? My first attempt was to ground it to a wire coming off the steering box (it wasn't hooked to anything either) but I guess the steering box isn't grounded? I ended up running a wire from the column connection to the steering box connection to a grounded screw that hold the spare tire bottom black tin piece in, located in the very front of the trunk. What's the normal wiring path?
