>How difficult are the headliners to put in yourself??? My wife and I, during the restoration of our '71 Squareback, decided it would be jolly good fun to install a new headliner. We bought a maroon velour headliner and all new window seals. With the body devoid of all interior parts and totally innocent of any window glass, we boldly went where we had never gone before... in a descent into hell. Well, it may not have been THAT bad, but, believe me, we hit the whimpering- and-babbling-threshold in short order. When I was doing the installation, I swore I would never do another. Now, however, that it is done, I recommend that all my friends do one...it will make you finer human beings! Actually, as I recall, the biggest problem was the length of time that it took to do the job, not the actual difficulty of getting it in there. Would I ever do anyother one?
