We're planning a 2 week driving vacation next summer and one thought I had was bringing our little 1957 BMW Isetta along for fun. For the long distances I'd like to tow dolly the Isetta behind our '71 Squareback (manual tranny). I have yet to fabricate a trailer hitch or the tow dolly, but the Isetta weighs about 750 lbs. If we cruise with 2 adults, 2 kids (50 lbs each) and camping gear, tools, etc, is dragging 750 lbs behind the car going to be a problem? The Isetta will have to dragged backwards, which means the tow dolly wheels can be about 3 feet apart, which also means when it's not in use I can probably strap it to the roof rack on the Squareback.
