I'm on the verge of purchasing a '66 Fastback and it is proving difficult to smog. Does anyone know what the rules are in California for getting your car registered? Does it have to pass smog immediately when I purchase it, or only every two years (in which case I may have some time to bring it up to snuff). I checked the DMV web site and there doesn't seem to be much information on it. Thx.
