I have lived in Southern Utah for 7 years and have had the same coverage on the same type of cars (a variety of VWs) insured with the same company. And in that 7 years the cost of my liability-only insurance has risen by 150 percent! And I have not submitted a single claim (whoa, that's wrong, there was a tow-in claim for $80 once) in all that time. Specifically, seven years ago I was paying $60 each six months; now, for the same coverage, I am paying $150 for six months. And I am an old coot who presumably gets better rates that those who commit the unforgivable sin of being young. I just wish my wages had gone up 150 % in seven years. Rotten racket, insurance...
