Sounds like your throttle position switch isn't working, or not properly anyway. This is on the intake air distributor right side, 4 wires coming off it. Check Idiot's manual and Bentley for the procedure for checking it. If you turn the ignition switch on and can't hear cliking when you push the throttle down, that's it. I haven't got time right now to go through the whole drill for you, on my way to work, so give me a post if you don't find the problem.
