Is the tranny you're getting stock? Is it a local rebuild or did you
purchase one from somewhere else (and who is it)?

Hi All,
I got my new Gene Berg shifter yesterday. I had enough time before going
to work to install it. Wow! what a difference. No more reaching to the dash
for 1st and 3rd. Reverse is much easier to find, too. I'm very impressed
with the quality, it's much better than any other aftermarket VW shifter
I've ever had. Now I get to replace the shift rod bushing and shift coupler
today. Now if my new tranny would ever show up I could find 4th.
Later,
Marty
