BTW, did you know that there are at least 5 different 4-bolt stock
rims that fit this description (from early to late)
[dates approximate]:
1) Large valve hole, recess in center disk next to valve hole,
drop center, no safety hump, (4-1/2 x 15) [66]
2) Large valve hole, recess in center disk next to valve hole,
safety rim (4-1/2J x 15) [67-8]
3) Small valve hole, recess in center disk next to valve hole,
safety rim (4-1/2J x 15) [69]
4) Small valve hole, no recess in center disk,
safety rim (4-1/2J x 15) [70-2]
5) Small valve hole, no recess in center disk, safety rim
(4-1/2J x 15), center disk "flat" around center hole [73]
All have 46mm offset and are thus different from MOST other VW
wheels. Which ones do you have?
