My IMPRESSION is that FI gets a bit poorer mileage than the earlier
setups. That is consistent with the fact that FI was switched over
to because of emissions, not for performance or economy. I think
they kept these other goals in mind, however, and they did not suffer
much.
My FI runs 20-25 mpg. Higher number are only downhill and/or
tailwind figures in my experience.
