I looked into the Type III Parts List reprint book that NONA (Notchback club) offers to its members and found the part you asked about. 311 941 583A: Relay 12 Volt for low beam from chassis #317 000 001 (1967 on), that goes with M Code options M273, M297, M239, & M242. The reprint is 1.5" thick bound at the left edge by velobinding, with blue covers and section dividers. It has every part listed for a Type III (all models) up thru 1970.
