Theoretically,the pressure doesn't change with different volume pumps.It will only change if if the spring rate is higher ,or lower with pressures following accordingly.A filter shouldnt change things ,because you are pumping an uncompressable liquid through the same size galleries.Now , if you opened up the galleries at the bearings,the pressure would drop,then install a high volume pump to compensate this.If you want a higher pressure , put in a tougher relief spring to slow down oil dumping into the sump with the higher volume pump.But why stuff around?Volkswagen's setup is best and should rarely be altered(oil filter an exception!!!!).
