I am getting a 70 fastback and a squareback from this old guy
my dad knows. I have a 71 squareback already and i'm hopeing that i
can fix the square i have now and possibly the fastback. These have
been both sitting for quit a while i'd say 10+ years on the square
the fastback is in pretty good shape, but its an automatic and
missing the driveplate. How hard to get ahold of or expensive would
it be to get one. What about converting to manual. I also got some FI
parts the engine in the fastback has dual carbs and I also got a 36
hp beetle engine...:)
The square has no floor and no wheels. It has the rounded style
bumpers with the seperate turn signals. The hood is
also different and it had a padded dash inside. It is in rather poor
condition and will more than likely become the parts car for the
other 2. Can anyone help me witht the year here? It also has a
sapphire III hanging on the inside with the seats.
I was wondering if the pop out windows from the square would fit
on my 71 square? Also on converting the fastback could the body be
moved onto the squareback chasis. Me and my dad have 5 buses and 8 or
9 beetles and I don't know much about the type 3's.
