Re: where is the oil

The Type III engine cannot, and was not designed to, take high g-forces (in this
context I mean fast, hard momentum changes not normally associated with a family
car, particularly one with an air cooled engine).

Check your wiring and clean the terminals just to make sure. Check the idiot
light end as well 'cause you never know. If everything looks hunky-dory then
your driving is probably too aggressive (like mine is). If this is the
situation then I recommend you bolt on an extra capacity oil sump -- preferably
from Gene Berg. I had the same problem (due to my driving habits) so I bolted
on a 1.5 quart oil sump and all problems disappeared.

Hi there volks

I am tring to figure out why my oil light is going on whenever I make a
sharp turn or brake hard. I have checked the oil level and it seems fine.
I haven't noticed any oil coming out of anywhere. My next step is to check
the the oil pressure sensor, but I don't know what or how to check. Also
if anyone has any suggestions on what else I should look at, I would love
to hear them.
