The seller for this is located in Enumclaw. I live about 30 minutes away, so I figured I would take a look. The owner does NOT want to part out for sure. He wants to get rid of it all, and the price seems fair. My problem is that I'm not into Type3's, and his stuff is 100% Squareback. The deal is for real. He works nights, but he will be home all this week and wants to get rid of it. o I checked over all the stuff, he does indeed have 2 '73's for sale. The one was rear ended, but he really likes the body on it... however, the entire rear apron, and left side need to be replaced. Interiror is worn.... I trust him about the lack of rust and so forth, but it has sat for 2 years outside his house.. mold on it. o The other '73 does run. He started it and it idled OK. Plates are far expired on both... he hasn't driven it for a couple years. I would take it for $400 easy! Rust here/there, not great interior, but it does drive/run. o He does have all the stuff listed below. Plus I saw at least 6 extra Dizzy's, heat exchangers, etc. My advice: Find a friend who wants the two cars and split the deal to get the engines. They are ALL pancake 1600's. 1) One is 36HP, but all in parts 2) One he ran until it died. It was knocking and now has a piston that is gone. Looks pretty much complete, but he stole a few bits when he swapped it in the running '73. 3) Another is rusty (heat exchangers/tin), but I bet it works...
