Re: Oil Pressure

Hmm, that is interesting. My first guess is that you're using a
multi-weight oil. 30psi sure does seem low for a cold morning start up
pressure!

I have a friend you should call. His name is Fox Mulder and, though he
doesn't know squat about Type 3s, he does know about UFOs.

I just installed a oil pressure guage and am perplexed by the readings
I'm getting. The oil pressure at idle in the mornings (cold) is about 30
lbs. As the engine comes up to operating temperature the oil pressure
goes up to about 40 lbs. At higher rpms the pressure stays around 30 lbs
and when warm and idling it goes up to about 40-45. Can anyone explain
this or should I look for UFO's overhead? I have tried two different
sending units with the same results.
