Last month i mailed some info about the Grossglockner-trip, a tour over the most beautifull alpinepass of Austria on saturday the 23rd of may. The trip is organised by the Dutch Aircooled VW Club. They now have information and registration-possibility available at: http://www.mousetrap.net/~lvwcn/ Untill now John Kowalski from Croatia has signed up to join me in this trip. He's coming with a bunch of Croatians. And they are not the only non-dutch participants. Also Patrick Joel Morton from Finland has shown interest. Already more than 100 car's have registered. The maximum # of vehicles is set at 200. The organiserers think half of the participants will be "flying dutchmen" and the other half from other European countries. The Dutch VW-club is aiming at participants showing up in original Volkswagens (with respect: no aircooled powered fantasy-vehicles). The starting point is near to Zell am See, the place where Ferdinand Porsche resided. Grossglockner is the highest mountain of Austria where 49 years ago (so in '98 50 years ago!) VW tested there beetle's and car-manufacturers untill this day still do. It would be nice to have a decent representation of type 3's in this endless row of beetle's...........*.........
