I spoke to a long-time T34 Registry member who regretfully has decided to offer her T34 for sale. Here are the specifics (taken from personal telephone call this evening): 1965 VW Type 34 Karmann Ghia, Model 343 (LHD Coupe) Owned since 1987, daily driven until 1990 when parked in garage due to "electrical problems" with starter and other unknowns. Non-op status in place from 1990-1997. Has not been driven since 1990. Body is sound and has been repainted Red with White roof (previously solid Red) and paint is showing its age. Original dual carb'd Type III engine with recently rebuilt transmission. Body is good with "not much rust" and no major damage. Tires need air for car to be loaded onto flatbed. This is a complete stock original car with very few missing or damaged parts. Owner "wants it to go to a good home before the end of 1997". $1000 call directly to Denise Crick (owner). Her telephone numbers are: home = 714 529 1951 or work = 714 956 4610. Personal note: if you are truly interested in buying a T34 Coupe and do not have a great deal of money to put into one, this would be the perfect car. It's been sitting untouched and out of the elements since 1990, was previously a reliable daily driver for 3 years (good sign), and does not have any major modifications. Perhaps the best thing about this car (besides the price) is that it's original and complete! Do not message me for details. Everything I know is in this note ... P.S. I have messaged both the Type 34 Registry discussion group AND the Type 3 discussion group, so I'm sure this inexpensive T34 will go quickly. Be nice, don't call her late in the evening, ok? LEE
